This article, by Pravda Online reports that Argentina, despite US and Israel pressure, had recognized Palestine as a state in its pre-1967 borders.However, what is interesting are the remarks of Israeli politician Avigdor Eskin, who posits the possibility of Brazil breaking up into 6 or 7 pieces, mentions how Brazil took half of Paraguay's territory and therefore, that territory is subject to reclamation by Paraguay. He compares the returning territories to the Palestinians like asking the Russians to return Koenigsberg (now Kaliningrad) to Germany.With about 300,000 jews, Argentina has one of the worlds largest Jewish populations.
