Israel owes reparations
Germany has just agreed to double the money it provides for the at-home care of elderly Holocaust survivors. That makes perfect sense, since the Nazis stole the houses and property of so many Jews, left them homeless and changed the courses of their lives so unjustly.
But what about Palestinians who have suffered the same fate at the hands of the government of Israel?
If Jews are entitled to reparations from Germany, why aren't Palestinians entitled to reparations from Israel?
After all, fair is fair and the Jews themselves have created the international legal precedent.
