A trustee of the City University of New York caused the university to withhold an honorary degree it was planning to confer on playwright Tony Kushner.
Tribesman and trustee Jeffrey Wiesenfeld blasted Kushner as "a Jewish anti-Semite."
Wiesenfeld had accused Kushner of being anti-Israel.
The clear implication is that any prospect to an honorary degree from said institution of higher learning must be pro-Israel as pre-requisite for qualification.
After some protests, the university reversed its decision.

Personally, I will have to kiss away my dream of getting an honorary degree from City University of New York.
