The second subchapter in the essay by Marina Sorokina is titled:

 

"A Broad and Authoritative Public Committee, Not Bearing Any Official Character"

 

"The idea of creating a special public organ for the investigation of Nazi war crimes was raised in the USSR at the very beginning of World War II, although for a long time the Soviet leadership did nothing about it." writes Sorokina.[1] Then on 6 August 1941, Iakov Semenovich Khavinson 28:

 

"...who in prewar days had already put forward numerous ideas for the modernization of Soviet propaganda, sent a note to the secretary of the Central Committee of the Soviet Communist Party (and director of Sovinformbiuro), Aleksandr Sergeevich Shcherbakov, in which he proposed the creation of 'a broad and authoritative public committee, not bearing any official character', as a 'systematic source of information about Nazi crimes on the occupied territories of the USSR.' Such an organ was necessary, Khavinson argued, because 'the accessibility and effectiveness of such information abroad depends quite heavily on the character of the source that is disseminating it'..."

 

(28 Iakov Semenovich Khavinson (1901-92) was the principal director of TASS, a member of Sovinformbiuro, and from 1942 on, the head of Sovinformbiuro's Department of Counterpropaganda. In 1943-46 he was a member of the editorial board and head of the foreign department of Pravda, and he later served as Pravda's permanent correspondent for international affairs (under the pseudonym M. Marinin). [2]

 

The idea then was to create a committee "not bearing any official character", because "who" wrote what was more important than "what" was written, as the last sentence above makes clear. In other words, the propaganda value was the determining factor. It continues:

High Time!  Shouldn't they pay reparations for having tried to deny and conceal their silence for so many years?  Interesting that even the Amish can hear about their shortcomings.
 

Amish group travels to Israel to ask forgiveness of Jews

  • When most of the news we hear involves killing, lies and denial, here's news story that stands out as unique: Members of the Amish community from the United States and Switzerland paid a visit to the Western Wall in Jerusalem for the express purpose of asking the Jewish people's forgiveness for their group's silence during the Nazi extermination of Jews in the Holocaust.

Their action is noteworthy not just because they stood up and took responsibility for their actions, asking for forgiveness for something that happened long ago, but also because they travelled all the way to Israel to make their request. The Amish, a sect of the Mennonite Church that largely rejects modern technology, do not normally use contemporary forms of transportation, such as airplanes and cars, necessary to make the journey to the Holy Land. When they do use such forms of transportation, they must employ a driver. At home in their own communities, the Amish typically use a horse and buggy for transportation.

According to an article written by Johan Mandel and published in The Jerusalem Post on November 28, an announcement issued by the office of Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch, with whom the group met, "the Amish delegates saw great importance in coming to Israel and expressing their contrition, as well as declaring their unreserved support of the Jewish people and the State of Israel." The delegation members stressed that they weren't seeking any kind of gesture from the Jewish people. They also were not seeking to proselytize. They simply wanted to support Israel because they had not done so in the past.

Thus, they got in cars and planes and made the journey to Israel despite the fact that this meant doing something that goes against their basic beliefs. They had to embrace modern technology long enough to get them to Israel and then back to their own communities. They also had to be willing to admit they as a people, as a community, had done something wrong; this makes most people pretty uncomfortable in general.

The group presented Rabinovitch with various tokens at a ceremony, including a parchment with a request for forgiveness in the name of the entire Amish community. This document included a commitment that from now on the community "would loudly voice its support of the Jewish people, especially in the wake of the expressions of hatred by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his extensions," reported The Jerusalem Post.

How many of us are willing to move outside our comfort zone to ask for forgiveness or to support another group we feel is being persecuted in some way? Unfortunately not many. The Amish should be commended for taking a trip that requires them to do just that—to employ means outside their comfort zone, to ask forgiveness, thereby admitting a wrong, and to support an oppressed group for no other reason than that they feel it is the right thing to do. That truly makes them a righteous people. In Judaism, we call one such person a tzaddik—a righteous person. A community of righteous people are called tzaddikim, righteous ones. The Amish have earned that title.

In Tehran conference, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says 'Truth would be exposed if black box of 9/11 and Holocaust were opened'

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad questioned the September 11 terror attacks and compared them to the Holocaust on Saturday.

 

Speaking at an international conference on terrorism in Tehran, Ahmadinejad said: "If the black box of the 9/11 incident and Holocaust were opened, then some of the truth would be exposed, but the United States does not allow this."

 

He further added: "There are those who believe that the goal of 9/11 was to revive the Zionist regime, reinforce stability in the region, divert US public opinion from the poor economic state. In terms of reference and benefits, 9/11 is very similar to the Holocaust."

 

Among the participants in the conference were Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir who has been accused of war crimes and genocide in Darfur, and leaders of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

 

Iran claims more than 60 countries were represented in the conference including UN envoys. Earlier this month, the Islamic Republic convened an international convention on nuclear disarmament.

 

A statement on behalf of Iran's Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was read during the conference. "Reigning powers are using terrorism to achieve illegitimate goals as part of their policy," it said.

Dr. Virginia AbernethyJames Edwards | In addition to my duties as host of The Political Cesspool Radio Program, I serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Council of Conservative Citizens and American Third Position.

That being said, I am pleased to announce that my friend, Dr. Virginia Abernethy, recently joined Bill Johnson, Dr. Kevin MacDonald, Dr. Tom Sunic, and me as a fellow member of the A3P Board.

 

Dr. Abernethy is an emeritus professor of psychiatry and anthropology at Vanderbilt Medical School. Her interdisciplinary post-graduate training in anthropology expanded into studies of human population and the interface of culture, population, and the environment. For 12 years, she was the editor of the ecology and social science journal, Population and Environment.

Abernethy is an expert regarding the "Demographic Transition" theory, the idea that fertility rates are automatically reduced with economic or social improvements. Dr. Abernethy is a member of the Board of Directors for Carrying Capacity Network.

Dr. Abernethy received her Ph.D. from Harvard University; M.B.A., Vanderbilt; and B.A. from Wellesley College.

Heidi Beirich, of the Southern Poverty Law Center, didn't approve of Dr. Abernethy's decision to team up with A3P.

Racist activist Jamie Kelso announced this past Friday that long-time professor Virginia Abernethy has joined the board of the white nationalist American Third Position (ATP) political party.

Abernethy, a self-described "white separatist" and emeritus professor of psychiatry and anthropology at Vanderbilt Medical School, has a long history of working with racist groups.

With the addition of Abernethy, the ATP board is now populated by the top tier of American white nationalists. The chairman of the group is corporate lawyer William D. Johnson, and board members include virulent anti-Semite Kevin MacDonald — an academic like Abernethy — and white nationalist radio host James Edwards.

Abernethy, who is also a leading nativist, has had some success in the past pushing her anti-immigrant agenda. In 2004, she was the chief spokeswoman of Protect Arizona Now, a campaign that backed a harsh anti-immigrant referendum known as Proposition 200 in that state. Though her racist background became public before the vote and helped spur the proposition's denunciation by almost every Arizona newspaper editorial board, the referendum still passed with 56% of the vote.

Abernethy has some other interesting connections. She has held leadership positions in two organizations that claim to work toward a reduction in U.S. population as part of an effort to protect the environment. Though Carrying Capacity Network and Population-Environment Balance portray themselves as pro-environment, both are really greenwashers — groups that use environmentalism as a smokescreen to severely restrict immigration to the U.S.

Partly because of the addition of Abernethy to ATP's board, the party has become the most serious white nationalist organization in the U.S. It is also growing quickly. In 2010, the party had 10 chapters in nine states.

I'm surprised that the SPLC could take a time-out from attacking the American Family Association long enough to write this article about American Third Position.

Despite all the propaganda and name calling coming from left-wing attack dogs, the mission statement of A3P is fairly simple and straight forward.

The U.S. political system works in favor of the two entrenched, nearly identical Democrat and Republican parties, and against all "third" parties; especially those parties that are pro-American and anti-globalist. Nonetheless, the American Third Position, a new political party, intends to fill a tremendous need in the United States today by providing the leadership and elected representatives necessary to return our nation to its rightful owners — by liberating it from the 'banksters and gangsters' who are ruthlessly plundering our American blood and treasure.

Israel's latest hasbara schtick falls flat in days

A couple of days ago, a Youtube video of some guy calling himself Mark popped up. Mark claimed to be an American gay rights activist who decided to broaden his horizons and, going all hog, decided to join the Gaza flotilla, representing the gay rights group of which he is a member. He sent an email to the flotilla organizers, but – alas! – after waiting for quite a while, received a negative reply. Upon which Mark experienced a Road to Damascus moment, the scales fell from his eyes, and he saw the bright, shining light of truth: The flotilla is organized by Hamas-supporting Islamists, all of whom are good friends with Ismail Hanyieh.

A week ago US Embassy in Tel Aviv posted the following video and statement on Youtube:

"Over the past few years, some Israelis wanting to work in the U.S. have been saying during visa interviews that they want to go to the U.S. only as tourist travelers. After their arrival at a U.S. airport and questioning by immigration inspectors, the true purpose of their U.S. trip is then discovered. What can follow is detention, possibly a court hearing, and then an immediate return to Israel along with a multi-year ban on future travels to the United States.

This video features Israelis speaking honestly about their negative experience, resulting from an attempt to break the law, go around the system, and act illegally."

I guess that America starts to show some clear signs of fatigue.

A must see for everybody.  I met this doctor probably still in the 1990s.  The Feds tried to close him down.  But his success with adults and children was so overwhelming and support for him nationwide that they got off his case and allowed to continue his work.
