Subject: ''Holocaust Remembrance"
Dear Mr. Haberman,
In your article dealing with Holocaust Remembrance Day you quote David G. Marshall, '' What are we going to do when the last survivor passes. Survivors are an irreplaceable resource...".Mr. Marshall's comment is an understatement since there is virtually no objective evidence beyond the so-called '' survivor '' testimony that the holocaust actually occurred. And by that I mean the murder of six million Jews, primarily in specially constructed homicidal gas chambers, as part of a state sponsored program of genocide on the part of the Third Reich. We have no orders issued by the Nazis for what must have been a Herculean task, we have no bodies , we have no autopsies , we have no functioning gas chambers beyond some crude reconstructions that until recently were passed off to tourists as the ''real McCoy''.
As a promoter of what Professor Norman Finklestein has described as the '' Holocaust Industry '' Mr. Marshall should be extremely apprehensive for the future of '' Holocaust Education '' once the last survivor passes, because when that happens the purveyors of this yarn will be left with nothing. Do you realize there was more objective evidence presented in the OJ Simpson Trial than there is for the Holocaust...and he was found '' not guilty ''. No other historical episode is so dependent on personal testimony.
Not a day seems to go by, when some octogenarian Jew presents his tale of horror regarding his experience during the alleged Holocaust...and on cue the story is picked up by the media without a shred of objective investigation on their part.
