Committee for Open Debate on the Holocaust
A CALL FOR ACTION !
I HOPE YOU CAN PARTICIPATE
The United Nations has a "Holocaust outreach program." This was established in response to the Iranian Conference on the Holocaust where I spoke in December 2006. Despite the political motive behind the UN outreach program, it is not necessarily only a propaganda tool.
CODOH supports such ideals as scholarly research and fair and honest discussion of the Holocaust question. See http://www.un.org/holocaustremembrance/ However, the generally laudable goals of the UN program have been corrupted by Believer extremists who have made conferences supported by the UN into forums designed to bash Iran, Muslims, Palestinians, and Revisionists.
Such sordid exhibitions cannot withstand any independent thought or minority views. Because of this the most recent conference held in Dublin excluded Iranian, Islamic or Revisionist speakers and blacklisted Revisionists from even being in the audience. For background see: http://bradleysmithsblog.blogspot.com/
IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Following is the text of a draft letter that will perhaps spark you to write a letter to Ms. Kimberly Mann yourself. It is important that the UN hear from people who are outraged at the censorship exploited at the HETI Dublin Conference. USE YOUR OWN VOCABULARY express your own thoughts, your own feelings-and please-be civil. That's important. What happened in Dublin is not Kimberly Mann's fault.
THEN, send your letter to the email address below. In your own words. Long or short. Copy me if you will as a Bcc.
And remember, if you don't like the News, go out and make your own!
Thank you.

Re: Holocaust Education Trust of Ireland/United Nations Conference on Holocaust Denial
Dear Ms. Mann:
I am writing to protest the exclusion of Iranian, Islamic and Revisionist speakers from the HETI organized Conference on Anti-Semitism and Holocaust Denial held in Dublin. A conference on "Denial" and Iran without speakers representing the views of those two parties is a farce. Too many of the Conference speakers have made a career of bashing Iranians, Islam, Palestinians and Revisionists.
It is inconceivable that a UN-sponsored Conference addressing historical issues would blacklist and exclude any writer or scholar who might represent a minority view on those issues, rather than the orthodox one. That this is what indeed happened underscores a sordid misuse of the UN's good name to evade the laudable purposes of the Conference.
The United Nations Outreach Program has a useful agenda which addresses important issues.
It should not participate in a grubby and baseless censorship. It should not allow the perversion
of its real mission, through the use of crass propaganda, to forward the political goals of special interests. It should encourage open discussion and real debate as well as research and education.
I hope that you can help avoid future use of United Nations funds and its good name to support such Conferences as this one.
Thank you for your consideration of this letter.
Sincerely yours,

Crime Cops: Priest Hires Hit Man to Murder Boy Alleging Sexual Abuse
A former Catholic priest charged in Texas with sexually assaulting a teenage boy two years ago has been arrested for allegedly trying to arrange the boy's murder, The San Antonio Express-News reports. John Fiala, 52, was jailed in Dallas on sexual assault charges and one count of solicitation to commit murder, the newspaper reports, quoting unidentified officials. The newspaper says officers arrested Fiala in Garland, Texas, after he allegedly negotiated with an undercover officer to have the teen killed. The Dallas Morning News reports that a neighbor tipped off authorities that Fiala allegedly had offered him $5,000 to kill the teenager, who is now 18. In April, the boy filed suit against the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Antonio and its then-archbishop in connection with the allegations of sexual abuse. Fiala was indicted in September on three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. According to the charges and the lawsuit, Fiala is accused of raping the teen at gunpoint when he was administrator of Sacred Heart of Mary in Rocksprings, Texas, about 110 miles west of San Antonio. San Antonio (AP) — A Roman Catholic priest has been arrested on charges that he solicited a hit man to kill a teenager who had accused him of sexual abuse. Authorities said John Fiala first offered the job to a neighbor, who blew the whistle and helped police arrange a sting. They said Fiala got as far as negotiating a $5,000 price for the slaying before investigators moved in. The 52-year-old priest was arrested Thursday at his suburban Dallas home and jailed on $700,000 bond. In April, he was named in a lawsuit filed by the boy's family, who accused Fiala of molesting the youth, including twice forcing him to have sex at gunpoint. The abuse allegedly took place in 2007 and 2008, when Fiala was a priest at the Sacred Heart of Mary Parish in the west Texas community of Rocksprings. The family's lawsuit also named the Archdiocese of San Antonio and Archbishop Jose Gomez, alleging that church leadership should have known Fiala was abusive. The suit was filed a month before Gomez was introduced as the new incoming leader of the Los Angeles Archdiocese. He is serving as an assistant to Cardinal Roger Mahony, who will retire next year. Gomez then automatically becomes archbishop. When he learned of the murder-for-hire investigation, the boy "was terrified, and rightly so," said Tom Rhodes, the boy's lawyer. As far back as 2008, Fiala threatened the teen and repeatedly brandished a pistol, Rhodes said.Father Fiala

Holocaust survivors deal with purported $42M fraud - WSJ.com
Begin forwarded message:
Joe,
The German people, many more in number than the Jews, suffered worse than the Jews for longer than 4 years, yet they are not "deserving" of compensation from those who inflicted it -- the Allies, it turns out.
This is how this issue should be answered -- not with the usual points about the Holohoax that you brought up. Relativizing the suffering is what the Jews fear most; we need to get Germans willing to do it. They have not been willing since it is not in their nature to ask for anything, but to work for it; but also because their own government will not back them up and will even repudiate them. But this has to be done. Why are Jews given lifetime subsidies for suffering they claim, often falsely, and no one else is? Why does the German govt. continue stealing from the German people to pay these vampires, instead of standing up and putting an end to it. The most prominent answer: Because they want to keep the German people believing in their terrible guilt in order for their leftist, multicultural, anti-German regime to stay in power. THIS is what needs to be talked about, and not just in passing, but delved into in detail, and from many sources.
Very few want to tackle these problems. They would rather just talk about unwanted immigration. But this is the heart of it all. Why don't you write anymore? Letters to the NYTimes that don't get printed don't count.

A couple of points raised by the article: 1) '' the Germans kept meticulous records '' ...if they did where are they and to they corroborate a figure of six million dead jews mostly by way of gas chambers. 2) the payments did not come from a '' finite fund but instead would come more or less from the German government. ( which of course is not a crime in the eyes of jews ) 3) '' there are still about a THOUSAND a month making new claims ". joe

NEW YORK — Walk along the boardwalk on a late autumn day, and Brighton Beach can seem like an old-age home by the sea, where stooped ladies wear rouge like armor and almost everyone lives in the shadow of a difficult past.Along this Brooklyn outpost's ocean edge — the heart of much community life here — locals are talking about the betrayal they feel after the arrest of 17 people, mostly Brighton Beach residents, on charges that they faked stories of Holocaust survival to profit from money meant for survivors of Nazi persecution."I cannot imagine that someone would lie like that; it's a terrible crime," says Klara Rakhlin, 72, her bright makeup stark against her black, coiffed hair as she speaks in Russian. "I lost my family in a concentration camp, and it's disgusting that people would get compensation although they haven't suffered."Rakhlin was little more than a toddler in 1941, when she entered the Pechora concentration camp in what is now Ukraine's Vinnitsa region. By the time she left in 1944, she was school-aged.The arrests don't close the books on the purported scheme. The organization in charge of awarding the money continues to weed through hundreds more case files to see how much further any deception may have spread. Federal prosecutors say they have already uncovered more than 5,500 fraudulent claims, many of them containing altered birth dates and faked stories of suffering. Some people — overwhelmingly residents of this neighborhood and elsewhere in Brooklyn — have received letters informing them that they must either appeal or repay tens of thousands of dollars that the nonprofit group, the Conference on the Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, now believes were wrongly awarded.Already, more than 90 people have told the Claims Conference, as it is commonly known, that they intend to appeal cancellation of their benefits. At least 35 more have returned the money or agreed to repay it on an installment plan.Still other recipients are getting letters telling them their quarterly payments will be rationed out by the month, while the Claims Conference asks them to again detail their stories of persecution and re-evaluates their eligibility. Conference employees will work to find records that confirm each qualifying story, says Greg Schneider, the organization's executive vice president."Ninety-nine percent of the cases are clear cases, and there's no issue, and we won't be distracted from the fact that helping survivors is our core mission," Schneider said of the thousands of applications the group receives each year. Some community leaders worry that requesting more information from some recipients will again turn survivors into victims."They are making survivors suffer even more. Why make them prove their status when they've gone through so much already?" asks Pavel Vishnevetsky, director of the Council of Jewish Immigrant Community Organizations. But Schneider contends that asking survivors to pen a description of their ordeal is not too onerous a task. And the Nazis, he says, were meticulous record-keepers — often making it possible to find a paper trail. If someone was on a train transport to a concentration camp, it was recorded. Those trapped in ghettos or who disappeared into hiding can be harder to track down — but if nothing else, records involving someone who witnessed their suffering can usually be found, he said.Any money claimed wrongly would not have come out of a finite fund for survivors but instead would have come more or less directly from the German government, Schneider said. Lawyers for those accused did not comment. Four of the 17 arrested in the case have pleaded guilty. For those caught on the other side of the language and cultural divide, the Russian community here can seem closed off. There are the fairly recent immigrants from the former Soviet Union, who after decades under Communism are often unwilling to talk to outsiders. There are the aging Jews, like Raisa Volokh, who would rather pull a photograph from her wallet to show off her great-grandchildren than speak of her years of starvation in a Ukraine ghetto, the boy who would become her husband suffering the same indignities alongside her."The community of Russians, they stay to themselves," says 96-year-old Lillian Block, who was one of many American-born Jews living here when she moved in in 1941. Now, she says of her neighbors, "they still have the feeling of when they were in the Soviet Union, when everything was so secretive. ... It's very lonely."That perception of concealment has led some, in the aftermath of the fraud accusations, to look on this neighborhood with suspicion. Several residents spoke of hearing talk over the years of small-time scams and believing that such behavior could flourish here. But Schneider warns against passing judgment on this community. While he believes most or all of the 5,500 allegedly fraudulent claims were made on behalf of real people, he says large numbers of applicants may have been unknowingly involved by unscrupulous middlemen. There are still 1,000 people each month coming forward to make new claims for payments. Many of those are recent immigrants from former Eastern Bloc countries who are not permitted to claim funds until they leave those nations, Schneider said. And for Volokh, the roughly $411 per month she receives as reparation for the four years of hunger, of watching people die of starvation and frostbite, can never repay her.Her children have asked her not to talk too much about those days, fearing that she can't handle the stress after a pacemaker operation. Sometimes it is too difficult to speak of her memories, she says quietly, a tightness in her throat closing around the words."My heart: It cannot," she says.___Associated Press writers Randy Herschaft, Ula Ilnytzky and Verena Dobnik in New York contributed to this report, in addition to translator Ksenia Galouchko.

Roosevelt's 'Secret Map' Speech
Roosevelt's 'Secret Map' Speech
Mark Weber
... Roosevelt was not the first or the last American president to lie to the people. But rarely has a major American political figure given a speech as loaded with brazen falsehood as Franklin Roosevelt did in his Navy Day address of October 27, 1941 ... Roosevelt went on to reveal that he also had in his possession "another document made in Germany by Hitler's government. It is a detailed plan to abolish all existing religions -- Catholic, Protestant, Mohammedan, Hindu, Buddhist, and Jewish alike" which Germany will impose "on a dominated world, if Hitler wins."
President Roosevelt's Campaign To Incite War in Europe
Mark Weber
This essay focuses on Roosevelt's secret campaign to provoke war in Europe prior to the outbreak of hostilities in September 1939. It deals particularly with his efforts to pressure Britain, France and Poland into war against Germany in 1938 and 1939. Franklin Roosevelt not only criminally involved America in a war that had already engulfed Europe, he bears a grave responsibility for the outbreak of the most destructive war of all time. This paper relies heavily on a little-known collection of secret Polish documents that fell into German hands when Warsaw was captured in September 1939. These revealing docu ments also confirm the crucial role of Jewish power and in fluence on US foreign policy during these years.

Energetic Spirit Marks IHR Meeting in San Diego
Institute for Historical Review
Lively discussions, an energetic spirit, and a timely, well-received address marked the IHR meeting in San Diego on Saturday evening, Nov. 13. This gathering at a large hotel -- the first IHR meeting outside of Orange Country in more than a year -- was an opportunity to reach out to new people, including an encouraging number of younger people, and to renew and strengthen ties with local supporters. Both attendees and organizers were impressed with the intensity of the discussions, both during the lively Q and A session and in the many one-on-one conservations.
America In Decline: A Society In Denial
Mark Weber
... America today is a society in denial. The country's political, cultural and intellectual leadership -- both liberal and conservative -- denies social reality and ignores the historical record, and therefore inevitably betrays the interests of the people, leading America down a path that means ever greater anxiety and ever more rapid decline ... The crying need in our nation today is candor, courage and truthfulness -- not childish slogans, simplistic nostrums, or wishful thinking about a mythologized past or a utopian future -- presented by media personalities who are little more than entertainers.

In Slovenia, Hundreds of Mass Graves of Communist-Era Victims
The Associated Press
Below Slovenia's cornfields, ski slopes and school yards lie skulls, bones and teeth -- the remains of thousands of people whose fates have been lost for decades. In 1945, enraged anti-Nazi fighters slaughtered suspected collaborators, fascists and panicked civilians who tried to flee through the region to the West, leaving graves scattered from a spree of vengeance that turned the tiny country into what historians call the biggest post-WWII killing site in Europe. Slovenian officials have a list of about 600 suspected graves, at least one in each community, daunting in its sheer scope and amounting to perhaps 100,000 bodies.
Israeli Town Gains Reputation as the Country's Most Racist

... The town rabbi, Shmuel Eliahu, who along with other area rabbis issued a religious ruling several months ago forbidding residents to rent apartments to Israeli Arab students from the local community college. The rabbi has warned that the Jewish character of Safed, long revered as sacred, is at risk and that intermarriages could follow if the students mingle with the locals. Last month, Eliahu called a public meeting to sound the alarm ... In a city park next to a college building on a recent afternoon, "Death to Arabs" was scrawled on a gatepost. The park is a hangout for the Arab students, who were scattered on benches during a break between classes.

... The Mass Atrocity Prevention in Military Practice course is the brainchild of Fred Schwartz, founder of the Auschwitz Institute and its director Tibi Galis who felt strongly that military officers would benefit from participating in a genocide prevention course. They secured a congressional grant to develop this course, which they plan to offer for five years. Working with retired U.S. Army Col Charles Heller, a professor at the General Staff and Command College, they developed a curriculum around a week long trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

According to Luciano, in his 1974 memoir, The Last Testament of Lucky Luciano, dictated to Martin A. Gosch and finished off by Richard Hammer after Gosch's 1973 death, the Normandie's sinking was pivotal to his release from prison after serving ten years, and the sinking was definitely not accidental.

French National Railway Apologizes For Wartime Role in Jewish Deportations
BBC News
France's state rail company has for the first time publicly expressed regret for its role in transporting Jews to Nazi death camps in World War II. Until now, SNCF has said its workers were forced to assist in deportations by the occupying German army. The change of language is clearly linked to the lucrative market for high-speed rail contracts in the US. The company has been criticised in the US for failing to apologise for its involvement. French state-owned trains and state-paid rail workers were responsible for carrying some 76,000 Jews from France to Germany and the east in World War II. Only a few of them returned.
