I AM FROM LOUISIANA!!!!! ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! ENOUGH WITH THE UNIQUE SOLUTIONS AND THEIR PATENT HOLDERS!!! THE SOLUTION IS - In a word, HAY. I challenge you to find a cheaper, more plentiful, and particularly effective oil sponge than HAY. A Public Call for massive amounts of HAY from farmers would do the deed. The supply chain is already there - JUST DO IT NOW!!! NO NEED TO WAIT FOR THE FDA OR EPA OR WHOEVER TO APPROVE HAY FOR USE IN THE GULF AS AN OIL SPONGE.

 

I'm sick and tired of watching all these solutions on TV, when the best solution is to just do it with HAY now; HAY is safe, effective and universally accepted. Point is, using hay, there should be no resistance to using hay. Concern is: picking up the hay once it soaks up the oil; using dredges, fishing boats, etc.  Obama & Bush better thank their lucky stars that former Louisiana Gov.
