Welcome to 2010 from this side of the Atlantic, and a Happy New Year! This letter is both a thank you for your support and an update (keep it private, please) on the recent catastrophic series of attacks on my work, my twenty-year campaign for Real History.
Firstly, the positive news is that I am fit and well. Since July I have completed two speaking tours of the entire United States, driving 50,000 miles around your magnificent country, as well as speaking in the UK and other countries too.
And: We have begun manufacturing limited "Focal Point Classic" editions of my earliest books, and they look good. I am back in peace writing in my ancient (but rented) Windsor house; work on "Himmler" has resumed; I have completed preparation of the updated reprint of my 1987 work, "Hess, the Missing Years" - which never appeared in the USA - for a new Classic edition and I have begun reworking my very well-reviewed "Göring" too.
But there is bad, disturbing, news: my entire business operations have been (temporarily, I hope) wiped out by hostile action, which has totally choked off the income which has enabled me to keep up the fight. This is what happened: On November 13, the enemy drove something I compare to a Mossad "truck-bomb" into the midst of my work as historian, author, and publisher: As I was preparing to address a small audience in New Jersey that evening, a friend phoned urgently from England at 6pm with the chilling news that unknown Internet hackers had just destroyed my huge website - the work of twelve years, many hours a day - and replaced it with a hate message which they had themselves penned. Somehow they had acquired the secret password which gave them access.
These anonymous enemies had also simultaneously penetrated my electronic mail system and posted the stolen confidential things across the Internet. (Fortunately no credit-card data were compromised: we never see them). These are federal offences, and the FBI have begun to investigate; but you can imagine the glee that has washed around in the international press.
I do not have to elaborate to you on who these people, or their financiers, are. They are the people who have consistently described my International Campaign for Real History as the "biggest danger" to their interests: I am quoting the odious Abraham Foxman, multi-millionaire chairman of the oddly named Anti-Defamation League (most of what they engage in is precisely that: defamation).
We have not traced the source of the leak; that will be the job of the FBI. We suspect Israel, and a mole at the US-based "server" hosting our Internet operations. It was in mid-changeover for a week, which meant that I was silenced for several days. With difficulty, I have now got the "shop window" fixed, but there is nothing behind it.
The enemy "truck-bomb" wrecked what programmers call the "back end", the secure database - the entire commercial workings of the website, the bookstore, the donations channels, the ticketing for my lectures - but the expert guy in Oregon who designed it over the years fell ill some time ago, and has vanished. Superficially, to change the metaphor, the vehicle looks okay again, but when you lift the hood, there is no engine, no innards. We now have to design and rebuild the engine, instal it, test it and get things up and running again.
This was only one of the methods the enemy have used these last months (and, perverse as I am, I have to admit that I am rather proud that they have had to stoop to such low methods to silence me: what I write and say must really be hurting their "interests". The conformist historians and commentators don't get this treatment).
My visits to several cities in November were marred by increasing physical violence, culminating in Manhattan where thirty of their thugs invaded our Times Square location in masks and attacked with pepper-sprays; and in Chicago, where we were waiting for them with police and had eight of these masked thugs arrested. When I do another tour, we shall have some unpleasant surprises for any attackers.
Simultaneously, American Express came under pressure from Dov Hikind, a corrupt New York Assemblyman, and his nasty friends in Israel, and within hours this giant corporation had cancelled our long-standing right to accept their card in transactions.
The other two big cards, Visa and MasterCard, are not so easily directly pressured; but as soon as our data were leaked these people applied their evil pressure to the "payment gateway" instead -- Authorize.net who have acted for us for nine years -- and they suddenly cancelled our contract, leaving us currently unable to process any credit card payments (we shall still accept them, and we shall process them eventually: but this may take months because of all the security checks that are necessarily involved with a new business).
As a final blow, the other familiar Internet payment gateway PayPal came under the same pressure and suddenly cancelled our account on November 16. (We have activated a clandestine PayPal route which may not however survive long: you can click this online link to the PayPal account we are temporarily using: Note: this account, tragicmime21, is authorised by us!).*
Back to the good news. The new US government (or should I now say "regime"?) has given me a permanent visa.
Which brings me to the real purpose of this letter. I should like to postpone next overseas lecture tour for a year, to enable me to complete "Himmler" and the other book projects.
This means I must rely on my friends - and I do know that we are facing hard times all round. We lost the entire Christmas book market because of the "truck-bomb". At minimum, I must pay outgoings without worry for twelve months. Then I can settle down, hungry perhaps, and write.
In conclusion: Not everybody is able to get out and about to fight, the way that my growing band of friends and I do; other folks contribute to this battle in whatever way they can.* I have many brave friends helping me now, and I intend to see this lifetime campaign for Real History through. The two world wars have been vast tragedies - "holocausts," if you will. And still the lying goes on. It is the lies of a few that have helped to perpetuate the misery of the many.
When wars end, no "ministries of truth" are established to cleanse away the propaganda and hatred generated by evil governments to dupe and trick their peoples.
That should be the job of historians - finding out What Happened and Why. I will certainly be doing my bit. Give me the tools, as Churchill once told the Americans, and I will finish the job.

Debating the Holocaust: A New Look at Both Sides By Thomas Dalton In this remarkable, balanced book, the author skillfully reviews and compares "traditional" and "revisionist" views on the "The Holocaust."
On one side is the traditional, orthodox view -- six million Jewish casualties, gas chambers, cremation ovens, mass graves, and thousands of witnesses. On the other is the view of a small band of skeptical writers and researchers, often unfairly labeled "deniers," who contend that the public has been gravely misled about this emotion-laden chapter of history.
The author establishes that the arguments and findings of revisionist scholars are substantive, and deserve serious consideration. This book is especially relevant right now, as "Holocaust deniers" are routinely and harshly punished for their "blasphemy," and as growing numbers of people regard the standard, Hollywoodized "Holocaust" narrative with mounting suspicion and distrust.
The author of this book, who writes under the pen name of "Thomas Dalton," is an American scholar who holds a doctoral degree from a major US university.
This is no peripheral debate between arcane views of some obscure aspect of twentieth century history. Instead, this is a clash with profound social-political implications regarding freedom of speech and press, the manipulation of public opinion, how our cultural life is shaped, and how power is wielded in our society.
