TURKISH HEROES GET A HEROES WELCOME ON RETURN HOME

Despite Israel's 'frustration', the survivors of Israels 'mini blitzkrieg at sea' received a heroes welcome on their return home.

It has been suggested by some so called 'journalists' in Europe that Turkey was aware of the attack before it took place. This is utter nonsense which makes Turkey as guilty as Israel for the cold blooded massacre, which needless to say, they are not.

It was also being suggested that the real reason for the attack was the growing relationship between Turkey and Iran. This is irresponsible reporting. The reason for the attack was that Israel's blockade and siege of the Gaza Strip has been challenged. It's all about growing world support for the Palestinian cause, nothing more, nothing less.

Turkey's state-run television says an ambulance plane carrying activists wounded in Israel's deadly raid against Gaza-bound aid ships is the first to land in Turkey.

TRT television says the plane - carrying one Turkish and one Irish wounded activist - arrived at an air base in Ankara Wednesday. The injured are to be taken to a hospital.

Turkish television broadcast images of tens of thousands of people in an anti-Israel protest in Istanbul's main square.

Four more activists were released to Lebanon via Rosh Hankira, and were hailed as "heroes" by the local residents, who threw rice and flowers at them upon their arrival at Naqoura, after crossing the border. Dozens of people cheered, waving Lebanese, Palestinian, and Turkish flags.

Ahmad al-Dahshan, a Palestinian who was on one of the ships, also returned to his home in the Gaza Strip. His family greeted him with hugs and kisses in Gaza City.

Two Turkish military jets have already taken off from Ben Gurion Airport, but Turkish authorities delayed the take off of three Turkish Airlines flights to carry out recounts and check the identities of the passengers.

The planes, which are being secured by police forces, may only take off Thursday morning.

The jets took off o Turkey and Greece despite an ongoing debate at the High Court of Justice. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered their release in an effort to minimize the damage done by the affair.

The IDF expressed frustration with the fact that the activists who attacked the commandos were also released. The nine bodies of those killed during the incident were also flown back to Turkey.

In total, 709 detainees were released. Seven remain hospitalized in Israel.

"I felt that I would not get out alive from Flotilla of humanitarian ships. It was possible to stop the fleet, but not in this way with the use of military brutality, weapons and the horrific attack on over 600 participants in the campaign, who all were civilians, parliamentarians, peace activists" said Hanan Al-Zoubi, the Arab-Israeli Knesset member from National Democratic Alliance who was on one of the ships during the Israeli maritime piracy operation against the International peace activists on their way to break the genocidal siege imposed on Gaza. The remarks of Al-Zoubi came during a press conference hold in Nazareth after her release from the Ashdod detention center where she spent the last night under interrogation by the Israeli intelligence.

Al-Zoubi confirmed that the fire on the passengers on the ship Marmara began before the Israeli navy commandos landed on the ship and before any contact between soldiers and the passengers of the ship. She added: "two of the wounded bled to death as a result of not receiving medical assistance, despite my persistent calls for medical treatment".

She said that it was expected that the ship would be stopped, but it was not expected it would be with the giant numbers of military, the excessive brutality the massive weaponry used in this terrible attack on the 600 participants in the campaign. They were civilians, parliamentarians, peace activists had been dealt by Israel since the start of the fleet as "terrorists "in order to justify aggression against them.

Al- Zoubi stressed that the attack took place on the ship in international waters, at a distance of 130 miles from the coast, at around quarter past fourth early at dawn. She pointed out that the campaign organizers had asked the passengers to wear life jackets, but that the commandos landing started out very fast. In less than 10 minutes there were already 3 dead and dozens wounded. "The goal of the operations was to create an atmosphere of terror and fear among us. A participant raised a white flag. There were sufficient indications that we do not want any confrontation. And after that we were almost certain that a confrontation would not happen I felt that we were in danger and that I would not get alive from the ship. There was no provocation and the Israeli narrative spoke about provocation, but the truth is that there were people afraid for the safety of passengers, and the organizers gave instructions to the passengers to go into basements and to enter the rooms for their own safety".

"I did not see any passengers carrying a stick, or a sharp object. The Israeli attack gave the impression that something big would happen. The commandos started shooting between quarter and half past four before landing. There was a clear message that our lives are in big danger, and that the goal was not to stop the ship, but more than that". That was the feeling of everybody on the ship according to Al-Zoubi.

She added: "After an hour and a half the deck was under control of the commandos, and all the passengers were taken to large rooms and tied, except the women and the elderly. After that they searched the body of the people using police dogs during the inspection, and after all the inspection they did not find any weapons, no piece of weapon were found".

Al-Zoubi pointed out that the Navy commandos moved the ship to the of port Ashdod. "We arrived at six in the morning". She added: "We knew that there were 5 bodies and dozens of wounded, among them 7 injured in critical condition. I asked several times to provide them with first aid of emergency, but the military did not cooperate with us. The consequence of not giving them of any kind of relief was that two wounded peace activists bled to death".

After her release from detention, MK Al-Zoubi called for an international investigation committee which should be led by United Nations because crime was committed in international waters and the victims are nationals of many countries. She pointed out that this crime must not remain covered by the Israeli narrative and liess, and that reporters should be allowed immediate access to the 600 detainees which include 60 journalists, in order to listen to their testimonies.

"They (the Israelis) attacked us before dawn. They came from every side. They dropped down on from helicopters and climbed up from boats. It was a mess. People were falling over each other and on the injured.. with blood all over. We were trying to help each other.. We were trying to remove the survival buoys (floaters??) from over the injured before they died. This fighting went on until about 08H30 then the ship was completely surrounded and we were crammed in the inside.. Israeli commandos stood at the windows surrounding us with their machine guns pointed at us.… Whoever moved or raised a was aimed at with lasers weapons.. The Israelis wanted to move the injured and the dead… but when men stood up to carry the bodies, the Israelis got scared of them and pointed their laser weapons to their foreheads… right between the eyes or in their eye..

"The Israelis then ordered the men to sit down and told one of the blond foreign women activists to carry a body… but she wasn't strong enough to do so.. She tried with her sister but they were too weak.. and by the way we'd like to express our gratitude and admiration for the European activist Sarah and her sister for their solidarity with us.. Sheikh Galal then tried to carry a body… but when he stood up, the Israelis got scared of him because he has a strong body… so they ushered him in a demeaning way "go away!! go away!!" Then they told him to come back… and then sent him away again. He tried to carry an oxygen tank to help the injured but the Israelis got scared again of him and shoved him off in a rude way. It was awful! The whole scene was disgusting!! It was more like a group of cannibals hunting for their meal!!!

"Finally the injured and torn bodies were carried out with much difficulty.. but none of the Israeli soldiers… those racist Jewish butchers… accepted to stretch out a helping hand to any of the injured as we tried to lift them to helicopters. The dead remained inside the ship and once we managed to get the injured out the Israelis sat us down and tied our hands together so tightly that until now I can't feel some of my fingers. Even after they tied the men up, they insisted on removing their sirwals (type of Arab clothe… like large trousers..) in order to deliberately humiliate them.. then they pushed them among the women and the elderly people… who were also tied up… and ordered everybody around.. "yala!!! yala!!!" as though they were speaking to cattle!

"We stayed on top of the ship from 10:00 to 15:00 under the scorching sun… without a drop of water or a bread crumb. A 13 year old girl who was with us, looked for water on the ship and carried some in her hands.. and poured it over our heads. This little girl kept going and coming pouring water on us. It was very hot. Then the Israelis removed the … from the hands of one reporter and a European woman so that they could get us some water. The Israelis were behaving with us as though we were prisoners of war!!! They were behaving like a barbaric blood-thirsty army!!. They were like cannibals!!! These Zionists are even worse than cannibals!

"I want to tell you sister if I have the time, one more example of their behavior: When the ships arrived to Ashdod, hundreds of Israelis were waiting at the shore and applauding those barbaric butchers! They applauded and clapped for the racist Jewish captain of the ship as the ship entered the port! Even the Israeli employees standing at the windows of the buildings in the port were clapping and waving Israeli flags!!! Hundred of them stood there and clapped!!! And we are being told to uphold the "Arab peace Initiative"???!!!! What peace initiative???!!!

"To think that we are being told that there can be a "solution" which such people other than the sword???!!! Where are all those who support this so-called "peace initiative" now????!!!!! Where are they???!!! A salute to Qatar!!! A salute to the Kuwaiti Emir also for withdrawing from this initiative!!!! Madam… these people were clapping!!! They were happy at the slaughter that took place!!!!! They were happy at a slaughter!!!! They clapped as the first child disembarked from the ship!!! They clapped as the Sheikh Ra'ed Salah disembarked (very important sheikh protecting the Aqsa mosque and reporting Israeli activity under the mosque)!!!!!! They clapped as they saw Sheikh Hammad… a hero of 1948!!!!!! What a disaster this is!!!!!! Those barbarians are happy at their newest slaughter!!!"

Fanatical pro-Israelis have mesmerized themselves to believe that the present policies of Turkey (and Iran) are guided only by the religion and not by rational political thinking. That is extremely naive thinking and as naive as it would be to say that USA (or Israel) acts like it acts simply because of their religion.

Both Turkey and Iran act like big nations do when they want a bigger role which in relation to their history and size of population (and raw materials) and in that "activity" religion is a minor motivator. Can anybody seriously believe that Israel with its 5 million Jews' population could dominate several over 10 times more populous historical leading regional powers for a longer time than it now has succeeded to dominate. Israel's regional dominance has been one of the "miracles" of history but it is unrealistic to believe that this anomaly based only ability to manipulate the western powers could continue still for decades to come. It is 100 percent sure that Israel will "shrink" to its natural size as a regional power. If Israel has still nukes after 10 years so will Turkey, Iran, Egypt etc have and there is nothing USA can do to avoid that development.

Turkey Forced Israel to Release All Flotilla Prisoners

Erdogan addresses Turkish parliament during Flotilla crisis

Dimi Remez brings word of some startling Israeli reports explaining Israel's sudden about face in agreeing to release all prisoners held from the Gaza flotilla. Prime minister Erdogan demanded that Israel release all Turkish prisoners, wounded and killed. He threatened to break off diplomatic relations if Israel refused. And finally he sent three military planes to Israel before Israel agreed to his ultimatum. Now that's a man of action. Keep in mind that as recently as a few hours before this Israel was telling the world it couldn't possibly release them because Israeli law required that those illegally entering the country (!) first be detained for 42 hours before they could be released.
