A pope does not have the authority to revise the Gospels. Even the post-Vatican II Church taught that some of the Jews at the time of Christ were responsible for his death, but that their descendants should not be considered guilty, Benny seems to be trying to take this a step further and exonerate even those very Jews who were historically complicit in demanding the death of Christ. Another trick is to blame Pilate--a saint in some Orthodox traditions. Note the same old pressure tactic was used on Pilate as effectively then as today: "If you do not execute this man, then you are no friend of Caesar's." i.e. "we'll tell Caesar that you aren't doing a good job and you'll be sorry."
There are those who would question the legitimacy of Ratzinger (Benny 16). The sede vacantist (i.e. the papal seat is vacant) movement questions whether this liberal advisor at the Second Vatican Council is indeed a true pope. Many believe that the line of succession was broken after the death of Pius XII in 1958 or after the death of John XXIII in 1963. (http://www.cmri.org/sedevac.htm) There is an interesting book on Paul ("Saul") VI entitled "The New Montinian Church." (Paul VI's last name was Montini.) http://www.todayscatholicworld.com/new-mont-church.htm
Although he was the Archbishop of Milan, he was never raised to the usual level of cardinal by Pius XII because it is believed that Pius resented Montini's private dealings with the Italian Communist Party which may have resulted in the execution of several Catholics behind the Iron Curtain. Montini became Roncalli's buddy and when Roncalli became John XXIII, he immediately made Montini his first cardinal and then appointed mode cardinals in the next three or four years as Pius XII had done during hi long reign. Montini may have advised John XXIII on who to appoint, hence changing the leadership of the church--and then an age limit was placed on cardinals to vote for pope, in order to to exclude the older traditionalist cardinals.

Subject: Benedict's revisionism?
In Benedict's keen hermeneutic, even the hitherto toxic cry of the Jewish mob, "His blood be upon us and our children" (Matthew 27:25), is a plea for purification and salvation because that is what Jesus' blood signifies in Christian teachings. It is a cry for reconciliation, not of vengeance or admission of guilt.

Being happy–is it good for the Jews? "Before Professor Dershowitz accused me of being an anti-Semite (news to me), I was a happy person. Since then, I'm still a happy person". –Michael Santomauro
Most of us are mentally trapped to think Jewish. Actually, it is safe to say that virtually every mainstream publication or or other type of media organ is "nothing more than a screen to present chosen views." The great battle over the last century has been a battle for the mind of the Western peoples, i.e., non-Jewish Euros. The chosen won it by acquiring control over essentially the complete mainstream news, information, education and entertainment media of every type, and using that control to infuse and disseminate their message, agenda and worldview, their way of thinking, or rather the way they want us to think. Since at least the 1960s this campaign has been effectively complete. Since then they have shaped and controlled the minds of all but a seeming few of us in varying degree with almost no opposition or competition from any alternative worldview. So now most of us are mentally trapped in the box the chosen have made for us, which we have lived in all our lives. Only a few have managed to avoid it or escape it, or to even sometimes see outside of it, and so actually "think outside of the (Jewish) box." --Michael Santomauro
