Committee for Open Debate on the Holocaust
I got a lot of funny looks some thirty years ago when I first started talking to people about Holocaust revisionism and the taboo that says you are not supposed to talk about it.
Let's just say some people were skeptical of the notion that it needed to be talked about, others that it should be talked about in only one way. For me, there was a simple purpose in talking about it. To share new scholarship in every direction that was good news for Jews and for Germans alike.
No hope for riches. No political agenda. No strings attached.
Two decades after founding CODOH there are some 800,000 references to Denial and Revisionism in the New Media, the World Wide Web. Soon to be a million-for starters.
CODOH isn't anything like a commercial website. It is a community creation maintained, edited, and largely written by volunteers, risking everything including bankruptcy, social condemnation, and in Europe and Israel, imprisonment. You are most likely a part of this community. I am writing today to ask you to protect and sustain CODOH.
Together we will keep it free of charge and free of advertising. We can keep it open-you can use the information in CODOH any way you want. We can keep it growing-spreading intellectual freedom everywhere, inviting participation from everyone.
Each year at this time we reach out to ask you and others all across the CODOH community to help sustain our joint enterprise with a modest, or magnificent, donation-whatever is right for you.
If you value CODOH as a source of information-and a source of inspiration-I hope you will choose to act right now.
All the best (with a tip of the hat to Jimmy Wales),
Bradley Smith
